Nehiyaw, Two-Spirit, multidisciplinary artist originally from George Gordon First Nation
Arielle Twist is a Nehiyaw, Two-Spirit, multidisciplinary artist originally from George Gordon First Nation, Saskatchewan. She is now based out of K'jipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia. Her debut collection of poetry ‘Disintegrate/Dissociate’ won the Indigenous Voices Award for published poetry and was a finalist for the Publishing Triangle Award for Trans and Gender-Variant Literature. In 2019 she was awarded The Indigenous Artist Recognition Award from Arts Nova Scotia for her multidisciplinary art practice. She is currently working on many projects while dissociating into a virtual world.
