Lesley Strutt

With a PhD in Linguistics, Lesley has studied the link between words and meaning extensively.

Lesley Strutt is a poet, essayist, novelist, playwright, and blogger living in Merrickville, Ontario. Her ancestral roots are Irish and she is a descendant of the Bard of Bytown - William Pittman Lett. Her poetry has appeared in anthologies, journals and e-zines. Her chapbook Small as Butterflies won the 2015 Tree Chapbook Contest. Lesley sits on National Council for the League of Canadian Poets and is an active member of PEN Canada. She edited If There is Somewhere to Go, the third collection of open reading poems published in the Living Archives series of the Feminist Caucus of the League of Canadian Poets, for which Susan McMaster was consulting editor.  Her first collection of poems will be published by Inanna Publications.
