Conyer Clayton is an Ottawa based writer who aims to live with compassion, gratitude, and awe. She has two chapbooks out: For the Birds. For the Humans. (battleaxe press, 2018), and The Marshes (& Co Collective, 2017), and more forthcoming in 2018. Her work appears in Prairie Fire, The Fiddlehead, The Maynard, In/Words, Bywords, Transom, and others. She won Arc's 2017 Diana Brebner Prize, 3rd place in Prairie Fire's 2017 Poetry Contest, and honorable mention in The Fiddlehead's 2018 poetry prize. Nathanaël Larochette

Words and music mingled
Nathanaël Larochette is an Ottawa-area poet, composer and guitarist in both the chamber folk trio Musk Ox and the progressive metal band The Night Watch. He has been performing spoken word for over a decade, has released eight albums and has performed in ten countries. He most recent release "Earth and Sky" is an instrumental double album consisting of solo classical guitar compositions and ambient electric soundscapes. Nathanaël lives to create, hope, and dream because he believes these are the keys to the meaning of our being.

Shery Alexander Heinis

Like hibiscus drenched in rain, my heart blooms
Shery Alexander Heinis is an emerging poet in the poetry community in Ottawa, Canada. She was born and raised on the island of St. Lucia, and currently lives and works in Ottawa. While she wrote as a young girl, she only took up writing again in 2013. Her goal is to connect with the human spirit and experiences through writing. She self-published and launched her first chapbook, A Greater Whole in 2014, as well as her debut poetry collection, Splinter, in 2017. Shery enjoys community building and creative collaboration. She has previously organized her own poetry readings and poetry launches in Ottawa, in collaboration with fellow artistes including musicians and singers. She hopes to continue collaborative creative efforts with other poets and artistes.
